Meet Our Clinicians

 Kathleen Walsh, LMFT, ADHD-CCSP

   "KC"is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Virginia and is also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. She received her Master's degree from Chapman University in 2012 and is currently working on a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Capella University. She is a well-rounded therapist, with experience in multiple facets of mental health. KC's career highlights include working with the California Juvenile Justice system and working with youth and adults engaged in community-based mental health services in Virginia. Her experience included being a clinician for TDT, MHSS, IIH, PSR, crisis services, as well as taking on director roles. KC also worked with Optima Health in their behavioral health department overseeing the utilization management of mental health services, eventually taking on leadership roles there as well. This opportunity helped identify patterns and processes related to job-related stress and burnout.

   In addition to her education and training experience, KC also has a background as a military dependent, both as a child and adult, witnessing firsthand the challenges that military life offers. Having a focus on family dynamics, KC's theoretical perspective stems from Family Systems Theory while working with couples and families. When working with individuals she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy Techniques, tailoring techniques to fit the needs of the individual client.
